One Child is Gone
Thursday, July 19th, 2007One child is gone
Two stayed behind
One child’s moved on
Two pass the time
With idle thoughts
And daily chores
No longer fraught
Their tears no more
One child does write
Two read with glee
One child sheds light
On life to be
With friends anew
New places gone
And school too
It won’t be long
Your heart is there
Your thoughts are too
We send our care
And hearts to you
Sunshine Eyes
Wednesday, May 16th, 2007You never cease to amaze me, the happiest child about.
The biggest smiles, the screams of glee, jolly without a doubt.
Some people who are dear to me, you may never come to know.
A grandma passed, an uncle gone, your brother whose soon to go.
You’ll not show a care, for your heart is here and now.
You’re sunshine eyes, dimpled cheeks, wonder of why and how.
Simple joys consume you, the way they should a child.
Lots of laughing, always smiling, within your eyes a look of wild.
The Best Big Brother
Monday, May 14th, 2007Reiley J, Has two sisters who stay,
In his room, For what seems like all day.
It’s funny to see, Those siblings three,
Play games, do crafts, And watch t.v.
He’s never tough, Rarely rough,
And you can be sure, He puts up with enough.
To him we toast, “He’s our son!”, we boast,
But his sisters, I think, Will miss him the most.
I Knew A Man From Kalipan
Wednesday, May 2nd, 2007I knew a man from Kalipan who always scratched his head,
He itched and itched a feverish pitch, until his face went red.
I knew a girl from Willowburl who wasn’t ever funny,
She always seem to have a cold, her nose was always runny.
I knew a boy from Delamoy who never quite liked school,
Been attending from the age of three and still he’s quite a fool.
I knew a lady from McGrady who didn’t like this poem,
She thought it was too silly, so she packed up and went home.
